Puppy Raiser
The Kids and Canines pups require care 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but they are only trained at school during school hours. This is where the important job of Puppy Raisers comes in.
Puppy Raisers are people who volunteer to take home a puppy and reinforce its training when the puppy is not in school. Many puppy raisers have other dogs, cats or pets at their home.
A Puppy Raiser can be a responsible family candidate or a retiree who is willing to bring the dogs to and from school on scheduled school days.
As the dog matures, the Puppy Raiser must be willing to take the dog to public places such as grocery stores, malls, restaurants, movies, etc.
The Puppy Raising process continues until the puppy graduates from the Kids and Canines program.
The Program pays for all food, veterinary care, kennel, and training equipment.

Puppy Sitter
If a Puppy Raiser wants to take a vacation, or a family emergency arises, they will need someone to fill in as Puppy Raiser while they are away. A Puppy Sitter fills that role. The dog lives with them while the Raiser is away. All equipment is provided for the Sitter.
